Channels poll on an interval. The honest design holds a small availability buffer per room type during peak periods rather than promising instant synchronisation. The hotel has to accept occasionally selling one fewer room than it could.

Channel sync is not real-time, and pretending otherwise causes double bookings.

If housekeepers do not update status from their phones, the system degrades to an expensive booking book. The mitigation is designing that screen first, testing it with the actual housekeeping team in Phase 3, and being willing to change the process rather than the software if they will not use it.

Housekeeping adoption is the whole project.

This is the smallest concept in the hotel set and the one most likely to fail, for reasons that are entirely about people. The application must be designed and tested with the actual housekeeping team before it is built, and the hotel must be willing to change the process rather than blame the staff.

If housekeepers will not use it, nothing else in the system matters.

If bookings were recorded without a source, channel analysis is impossible. Phase 1 assesses what the existing data can actually support and says so before anyone commits — which occasionally means recommending the Hotel Operations Command Center instead and not selling this at all.

A reporting layer cannot fix bad source data, and this is where these engagements disappoint.
